Getting to Know You: Dora Rivas

“Everyone’s favorite prep cook” Dora Rivas has 10 years of culinary experience. She found her place in the Lineage kitchen and quickly felt at home there. When Lineage closed in 2016, Dora joined the Island Creek Oyster Bar team. At ICOB, Dora makes everything from fresh pasta to breaded crab cakes, helping out however she can. She loves the work she does at the restaurant, but on her days off, she especially loves making pupusas. Her favorite recipe utilizes pork ribs, but it’s a bit of a process, so she has instead offered a recipe that uses black beans.
