Hello all,

Many of you have asked how to help those affected by Hurricane Harvey. Details below.
  • We are collecting donations in the office to deliver to the Watertown Fire Department. If you would like to contribute, the following items are appreciated – new clothes, new blankets, toiletries, diapers, baby formula and non-perishable foods. Please bring any donations to the office by 9/11 and special thanks to Brooke Hazen for getting this started!
  • Those who wish to donate to the Red Cross can make donations on its website, RedCross.org, by texting HARVEY to the number 90999 to make a $10 donation, or by calling 1-800-RED-CROSS.
  • #HurricaneHarveyFund – The USBG has set up a grant program for those in the industry affected. View more information – https://usbgfoundation.networkforgood.com/projects/35124-hurricaneharveyfund
It was announced today that DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals) will end, with a proposal for Congress to determine legislation to replace it. Launched in 2012, DACA gave certain people who came to the U.S. as children temporary work authorization. This announcement is meaningful to many members of the restaurant industry and their families. I am attaching an article with more information.

Last but certainly not least, here is an awesome photo from Can You Kick It, 2017!
