Holiday Scheduling

It is that time of year that many of you are starting to reach out about holiday scheduling. As you know it is impossible for everyone to have the same holidays off so I ask that you take into consideration what holiday you had off last year and possibly volunteer to have another off this year. We are closed on Thanksgiving Day which allows for travel, we have limited hours on Christmas Eve, we are closed on Christmas Day, we are open on New Year’s Eve and will most likely be open for lunch/brunch on New Year’s Day depending on our sister restaurants schedules.

Similar to last year I will be posting Holiday Sign Up Sheets for everyone to voluntarily pick two holidays. I will give everyone notice as to what day it is going up and ask that you respect those that sign up before you by ensuring you are not crossing anyone’s name out, adding additional slots, etc..

• That being said there are a few rules that come along with this.

• I will not accept a sign up for Christmas Eve, Christmas and Thanksgiving. Please be considerate to your peers and pick one of the holidays. Keep in mind that there are more people inclined to sign up for Christmas than Thanksgiving so picking Thanksgiving may offer an opportunity for more time off with your family.

• I will not accept sign ups for Christmas and New Year’s Eve. Please pick one or the other.

I know that this can be a tough decision and our family members want us home for all of the holidays but unfortunately that is not a luxury this industry affords us. I will have the sign up sheets posted within the next few weeks so that you may start planning your holidays. Thank you for your patience and understanding with this.
