B.L.U.’s first All-Staff Project is to Build Your Own Restaurant. 

How B.Y.O.R. works:
Overview
The BLU (Branch Line University) staff has been working hard on their first ever all-staff project, B.Y.O.R. in the first few months of 2018.
BYOR, aka Build Your Own Restaurant, has divided our restaurant into two teams: Team Cafe and Team Wine Bar.  Teams consist of a mix of both front and back of house employees and each team is equipped with a manager and a chef to help guide them on their way.  The goal is simple: each team must open up their concept in the Branch Line space.  So yes….we will be opening up for Breakfast on April 11th from 8am-11am.  And yes, our space will turn into a Wine Bar on April 10th from 3pm-6pm-all at the hands of our staff.
In order to get them from the conception of the idea to the actual opening day, we designed a series of Goal Points for them to achieve.  Each Goal Point has had a deadline and both teams continue to completely nail it.  The restaurant, during slow times and pre-service, has turned into quite the think-tank, and it’s been hard to get the BLU crew to talk about much else!

Team 1: Coffee Shop

You will be in charge of opening up a Branch Line Coffee Shop.  

It will open up from 8:00am-11am on Wednesday, April 11.   

Who we are

Early Bird Cafe is a neighborhood breakfast counter with craft coffee and warm service in Watertown. Designed in full by the very staff that will greet you as you walk in the historic space, the menu and cafe aesthetic highlights our staff’s personalities. Sourcing from local artisans, Early Bird delivers unique made to order breakfast items designed to satisfy both the sweet and savory. With quick yet affable counter service, guests can take their food and beverage with them in a matter of minutes or choose to enjoy the historic and expansive room and sun-drenched patio.

Team Two: Wine Bar

You will be in charge of opening up a Branch Line Wine Bar.

 It will be open from 3pm-6pm  on Tuesday, April 10. 

Who we are

Mulberry is a pop-up wine bar within Branch Line in the Arsenal on the Charles. The menu utilizes the best qualities of the wood-fire grill, offering shareable plates in a communal setting. The beverage list focuses on domestic wines and beer, from the suburbs of Massachusetts to the vineyards of California. With a polished and comfortable service, Mulberry is the perfect spot for your post-work, pre-home wind down moment.
