Pie In the Sky by Community Servings
Community Servings’ 26th annual Pie in the Sky Thanksgiving bake sale brings together more than 100 of Greater Boston’s most generous chefs, bakers, and caterers to bake and donate thousands of delicious pies that more than 500 volunteers sell to their family, friends, and coworkers. Each $30 pie or donation provides a week’s worth of meals for a critically ill neighbor in need.
Ways to Help
BUY A PIE
Each apple, pecan, pumpkin, or sweet potato pie you buy provides a week’s worth of made-from-scratch meals for a Community Servings’ client living with HIV/AIDS, cancer, heart disease, diabetes, and other critical illnesses.
Out of town this Thanksgiving? Consider making a Pie for a Client Donation. You can also gift a pie to a family member, friend, coworker, or client. You purchase the pie, they select the flavor and pick-up location!
SELL PIES
Be a part of the “World’s Greatest Bake Sale” and sell Thanksgiving pies to friends, family, and coworkers. There is no minimum fundraising requirement to participate and you can sell as an individual or a team. We also offer tools and tips to help you reach your goal, so get started today!

YOU, our dedicated volunteers, are the secret ingredient to the “World’s Greatest Bake Sale!” Without you. there’s just no way we could sell & transport thousands of Thanksgiving pies. We need all the help we can get, so recruit your friends, family members, & coworkers!
PIE PICK-UP & DELIVERY
Grab a partner and help us during the home stretch of the pie sale with this very important task to pick up and deliver pies to locations around Greater Boston. Pies will be picked up from bakers and delivered to Pie Central. Then, completed pie orders need to be delivered from Pie Central to designated pick-up sites. Fill up your minivan, SUV, or van, turn on your GPS and away you go!

PIE SORTING
More than 25,000 pies need to be quality-checked, sorted by flavor and packaged for delivery to pick-up sites. Get into the holiday spirit by working alongside hundreds of volunteers at Pie Central. There will be food, drinks, and of course, lots of pie!

BOX PARTY & DELIVERY
With your help, we make a party out of labeling boxes! Label thousands of pie boxes and package them for delivery from 10:00AM-12:00PM at the Greater Boston Food Bank. Then, deliver the pie boxes and tins to participating bakers throughout Greater Boston. Delivery drivers head out from the Greater Boston Food Bank at 12:00PM and finish by 2:00PM.
